The most common reason a booking page produces nothing is not the page. It is that the link lives in exactly one place, usually a social bio nobody visits, and the person who set it up is quietly concluding that booking pages do not work.
Distribution is most of the game. Here is where the link actually earns its keep, roughly in order of return.
1. Your email signature
Far and away the highest return, and the one people skip because it feels too boring to matter. Every email you send becomes a booking prompt, aimed at people who already know who you are. One line: "Book a time: schedulera.com/yourname".
2. Replies to "do you have time this week?"
This is the message the link was invented for. Instead of proposing three slots and waiting, you send the link and the thread ends. Keep the sentence saved somewhere you can paste it from without thinking.
3. Social bios
LinkedIn, Instagram, X, wherever you are actually active. The bio link is low effort and works quietly in the background. Put it in the profile field, not just in a pinned post that scrolls away.
4. Your website, above the fold
If you have a site, the booking link belongs in the header or hero, not on a contact page three clicks down. A contact form and a booking link do different jobs, and the booking link is the one that ends with something in your calendar.
5. Invoices and proposals
Underused and unusually effective. A client reading an invoice is a client already in a working relationship, and "book your next session" at the bottom converts far better than the same sentence sent cold.
6. Your voicemail and out-of-office
Both are messages sent precisely when someone wants your time and cannot have it. "If it is easier, book a time directly at schedulera.com/yourname" turns a dead end into a booking.
7. Communities and DMs
Wherever you answer questions in public, the link belongs in your profile there. Not pasted into every reply, which reads as spam, but available to anyone who looks you up after a useful answer.
Do all seven in one sitting
This is a thirty-minute job that you do once. Open a tab for each, paste the link, done. The failure mode is doing two of them, seeing little movement, and concluding the tool is the problem.
If you have not picked your link yet, choosing one you will not regret takes five minutes. Then claim it and start pasting.
